by Amon Focus
February 14, 2017
in Conversations with Artists

Today’s guest on the show is Graffiti, Mural and Studio artist, Rubin415. I met Rubin at his studio and we talked about his roots as a graffiti writer, painting in the Bronx, paying his dues, defining his style, the difference between street art and graffiti, various spray-paint caps, getting ragged or buffed, art trends, how New York changes you much much more.

Side note, there is extensive amount of street art and graffiti lingo being tossed around in this episode. So if you find there is a word you don’t quote understand, I’ve provided a glossary in the show notes of this episode. Just visit NewYorkSaid.com and while you are these check out the pictures I posted under the Rubin415 post to check out some of his latest work. The Words: A Graffiti Glossary – https://www.graffiti.org/faq/graffiti.glossary.html

Please enjoy.
