Legacy Calls is a project dedicated to celebrating the stories of Seniors.
It started with interviewing my grandma. I just wanted to get a piece of her life story. Not too long after she passed away, I came across the video and it inspired me to capture the stories of the Seniors in my my life.
And today, through Town Hall and Project Find I was given the opportunity to collaborate with Zoë Watkins and bring Legacy Calls to Woodstock Senior Center.
Together, Zoë and I turned Legacy Calls from a traditional Q&A to an intimate but immersive theatrical experience.
I could tell you about Zoë but it would be waaaaaay better if Zoë told you about Zoë
So I did a small interview specifically for this video
For over 10 weeks Zoë and I facilitated sessions covering topics that ranged from fun, fear, displacement, discrimination and other topics that just naturally came up, like the road less traveled.
We even took chocolate breaks
It’s a bit of challenge to sum up over 10 weeks of classes, so in that interview with Zoë, I asked her about some of her favorite moments.
